Since 1st November 2002, NRBs can invest in US Dollar Premium Bond and US Dollar Investment Bond issued by the Government of Bangladesh through their Foreign Currency Account from Agrani Exchange House Pte Ltd, Singapore.

• Half-Yearly Interest Payment

• Principal & Interest Payable in USD or BDT

• Tax-Free Principal & Interest

• Reinvestment or Repatriation at Maturity

• Duplicate Bond Issued in Case of Loss/Damage

• Encashment Allowed Before Maturity (No Partial Encashment)

• CIP Status for Investors of USD 1 Million (10 Lac USD) & above

• Nominee Option – Bond accrues interest for nominee even after the bondholder’s death

📌 US Dollar Premium Bond

• 7.5% Annual Interest Rate

• Principal Payable in USD (can be taken in BDT if desired)

• Interest Payable in BDT

• Death Risk Benefit:

  • If investment starts with USD 10,000 and continues until death, the nominee may receive 15–25% of the invested amount (max BDT 20,00,000) under specific T&Cs.

🔓 Encashment Rules (Before Maturity)

• Less than 1 year → No interest

• 1 – 2 years → 6.5%

• 2 – 3 years → 7%

• 3 years & above → 7.5%

📌 US Dollar Investment Bond

• 6.5% Annual Interest Rate

• Principal & Interest Payable in USD (can also be received in BDT)

🔓 Encashment Rules (Before Maturity)

• Less than 1 year → No interest

• 1 – 2 years → 5.5%

• 2 – 3 years → 6%

• 3 years & above → 6.5%

💰 Face Value & Purchase Limit

• Denominations: USD 500, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000 & 50,000

• Minimum Purchase: USD 500

• Maximum Purchase: Unlimited (in multiples of USD 500)
